Amy Harberg, M.Ed.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in Texas, a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor , and a National Certified Counselor. My life experience and my passion for working with people have guided me to choose counseling as my profession.
My formal education includes a Business Degree from Washington University in St. Louis with a minor in Psychology, and a Masters Degree from the University of North Texas in Counseling, with a focus in Play Therapy. My clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents and young adults in emergency shelters, agencies, hospitals, schools, as well as in private practice. My specialties include play therapy, child/adolescent counseling, trauma/abuse, anxiety, and eating disorder recovery. Additionally, I am a certified yoga and mindfulness instructor with extensive teaching experience. Practicing mindfulness plays a powerful role in the ability to work through anxiety, depression and trauma.
As a parent myself, I understand the joy experienced with each child’s accomplishments as well as the complications that arise from being concerned about your child. I look forward to working with you and/or your child as you take the next steps in moving forward through this time of uncertainty.
